IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION & INFERTILITY IN MALES?
Erectile dysfunction & male infertility are two
different conditions seen in men but their final outcome is somehow contains
the same effects. They can be somehow interlinked as both of these conditions
can affect a man’s sexual health & ability to have children.
Erectile dysfunction otherwise known as impotency refers
to inability of a man to get proper erection which ultimately makes it
difficult or impossible to have an intercourse; on the other hand male
infertility refers to an inability to produce or release sperm. The most common
cause of male infertility is low sperm count. Having ED does not automatically mean you are
infertile, but it sure can make getting pregnant extremely difficult. Both of
these conditions have been known to cause stress in a relationship. Studies
have shown that there is sexual dysfunction present in 20-25 percent of couples
who are infertile. With respect to the male aspects of infertility, you can produce
perfectly good sperm, but not be able to produce an erection for a host of
different reasons. Therefore, it is clear that both of these conditions in the
aspect that the stress from the two conditions can affect the overall outcome.
